The Global Political Economy (GPE) Research Group supports and promotes research into the different areas within this interdisciplinary field, with the aim of improving connectedness and widening the scope of both our group and our member’s activities – both within the University of Bristol and between Bristol and other universities.
Our research group examines themes including:
- the transformations of the state and public/welfare policies
- sustainable production
- changes in property
- corporate governance and commercial
- international and labour law
- global changes in work and employment
- management and organisational transformations.
The group also represents a vehicle for developing research projects, applying for funding, and maintaining a vibrant research culture through the organisation of workshops, seminars, and special events.
Our group supports and promotes interdisciplinary work and, although based in the Faculty of Social Sciences & Law, we welcome staff and postgraduate research students from across the University.
If you are interested in joining our group, then please email our group lead with details of your relevant research interests.
Please note: we also welcome applications from non-Bristol postdoctoral students if they are studying on the Global Political Economy interdisciplinary pathway (an ESRC funded studentship delivered via the South West Doctoral Training Partnership (SWDTP).
